Original Summary
Yesterday I was browsing Shopify Community and came across someone asking how to split freight costs across items on a purchase order. They mentioned Stocky shutting down, which caught my attention. I’m building a tool for supplier files and stock receiving. Most of my attention has been on messy SKUs, partial deliveries and making sure inventory doesn’t get updated twice. But freight costs? I hadn’t really thought about that side of receiving. Getting 20 units into inventory is one thing. Knowing what those units actually cost after shipping is another. My tool doesn’t handle that yet. Just something I realised I need to understand better. Curious how people deal with this. Do you calculate freight per item, use a spreadsheet, or leave it for accounting? submitted by /u/Reasonable_Major_458 [link] [comments]
