Original Summary

Built an AI inbox with a friend over a year of nights and weekends. It sorts every email on arrival, keeps a "needs a reply" list, drafts replies in your tone from your own documents, and runs workflows on top (route invoices, escalate angry customers, archive newsletters). Outlook, shared inboxes, IMAP, Gmail. Built in Sweden, AI in the EU. Launched yesterday. The numbers: Waitlist after a year of building: 59 people. Emailed all 59 at 09:00 with a 50% code for six months. LinkedIn post at 09:30: 1,155 impressions, 61 reactions, 18 comments, 6 reposts. Felt great. Site visitors: 54. Trials started: 2. Lesson one: we never talked about it while building. A year of work and 59 people knew it existed. Should have posted every month from day one. Lesson two: friends engage, they don't sign up, because they don't have the problem. The one person who gave feedback said the "name your organization" step after signup scared them off. Removing it this week. Lesson three: we spent the last month on encryption at rest, GDPR paperwork and Google's OAuth review before a single stranger had used the product. Right for the customers we want, but a month with zero users is a month. Should have shipped the unencrypted version to ten people first. If you've launched something and day one was quiet, what actually moved the needle after? And if you run a shared support@ inbox, I'd genuinely like to know how you handle it today. It's letterleaf.io if you want to look. Seven days free, no card. submitted by /u/Weak_Pop_8293 [link] [comments]
