I rescued a pigeon a few months ago. https://github.com/khomin/roost A self-hosted camera server for RTSP/USB cameras, with a live WebRTC dashboard. Consists of two modules: apps/vision (C++) — captures video via GStreamer, encodes, pushes frames into IPC ( /dev/shm/roost_<camera-id> ) apps/gateway (Go) — reads frames from shm, manages cameras, forwards to WebRTC I wanted to check on the bird from my laptop without buying anything.
