Original Summary

Long story short is I built a SaaS in a span of 6 months, showcased it to a few friends at work and now I'm leading the development of it at work. It's a variant of what I initially created and was curious if there was a consensus using the word adopted/acquired. There's no legal paperwork that was processed for this transaction , though I was curious if I could claim it being acquired. The intellectual property will come with me since it's mostly all built, just didn't have the funding for it myself (I could run it on Docker containers and spin up a swarm for my users on a server I have at home) so I don't mind this little deal. I did apply to some accelerators and had a few bites, but maybe I can take this project I'm a SME of and build it out later in the future (5-10 years). Though on the flip side, I do get a promotion. Is it wrong for me to say my project was acquired? I won't plaster that wording on my project's page nor will I say it to anyone else. Was thinking about just noting it in my resume for future employers to be like "woah, this guy did it". submitted by /u/Short-Standard8633 [link] [comments]
