Original Summary
Every day I see posts like: “Why is my SaaS not converting?” “How do I get my first 10 customers?” “I’ve been building for 8 months and still have no traction.” And every time, the comments suggest the same things: improve your landing page, add features, work on SEO, try paid ads. But maybe the answer is much simpler. You built something people don’t care enough about to pay for. Or you entered a red ocean with 50 competitors doing exactly the same thing, and you have absolutely no differentiation. Or, and this one hurts, you’re just not selling. Instead, you’re stuck in the endless “just one more feature” trap. “If I add this feature, people will finally convert.” No. Probably not. Building is comfortable. Selling is uncomfortable. Building makes you feel productive. Selling forces you to face reality. And that’s why so many technical founders spend months polishing products nobody asked for. Here’s the uncomfortable truth: Your next feature probably won’t save your SaaS. Your next 100 customer conversations might. Stop hiding behind your code. Talk to customers. Find a painful problem. Give people a compelling reason to choose you over everyone else. And most importantly, learn to sell. A great product without distribution is just an expensive side project. Curious how many founders here are actually spending more time selling than building? submitted by /u/French_berry [link] [comments]
