Original Summary
I use Claude and ChatGPT together a lot, and I got tired of constantly doing this: Claude replies → copy → paste into ChatGPT → wait → copy → paste back into Claude. So I built CrossTalk . It’s a local Windows tool that links a Claude conversation with a ChatGPT conversation and passes replies between them. Current v0.1.0 supports: Claude Desktop Chat Claude Desktop Code ChatGPT in Chrome Manual relay in either direction Optional automatic relay Auto Send is OFF by default Max hops defaults to 2 so the two models don’t disappear into an endless conversation Pause / duplicate protection / conversation checks / safety stops No API keys No hosted backend Runs locally Open source The bit I specifically wanted was to keep using my existing Claude Desktop/Code sessions and existing ChatGPT browser chats , rather than moving everything into another multi-model client or paying for API usage. It’s still an early Windows preview , so there are caveats: the Chrome extension is currently loaded unpacked the Windows package is unsigned, so you may get a security warning Claude/ChatGPT UI changes could break the adapters Edge instructions are included, but Chrome is what I’ve actually tested UI automation may conflict with service terms, so use it at your own risk Planned next: Claude Web ChatGPT Desktop / Codex Gemini more providers multiple simultaneous pairings background/tray mode multiple workflows/links easier extension setup built-in browser/session support installer / auto-update I’m mainly looking for a few people willing to try it and tell me what breaks. If another tool already does this exact combination better — existing sessions, Claude Desktop/Code, ChatGPT browser, local relay, no APIs — genuinely send me the link. I built this because I couldn’t find one that matched the workflow I wanted. GitHub: https://github.com/b3rtopacks/crosstalk If anyone wants to contribute, Issues and PRs are welcome too. And yes, I’m aware letting two AIs talk to each other unattended is potentially a terrible idea, hence the hop limits. 😄 submitted by /u/Batmanglass1 [link] [comments]
