Original Summary

For the past year I've been making illustrated picture books from the Records of the Grand Historian (史记） as bedtime stories for my kid — 6 pages each, watercolor chibi art, with pinyin annotations so early readers can follow along. 28 books in, I figured they shouldn't just live on my phone, so I put them all on a free public site. No signup, no paywall, works on mobile. New books go up as I finish them (roughly one every day or two). Built it solo; the whole thing is a static site. Would love feedback from fellow builders — especially on whether the reading experience works for your kids.
