Original Summary
I'm a history enthusiast (a passion passed down from my dad), and professionally I lead a team of engineers building apps and LLM solutions. I love podcasts, but niche topics are hard to find, and when I get curious halfway through an episode, the hosts just carry on. That's what triggered the idea and I decided to combine my personal and professional passions into Historai. How it works: Type anything: "the fall of Constantinople", "Ada Lovelace", "the Great Emu War", or something as specific as "what a day looked like for a scribe in the Library of Ashurbanipal". Go as detailed as you like. It researches the topic on the web and checks dates, names and numbers against real sources. When sources disagree (constantly, in history), the hosts say so instead of picking a side. Every episode links what it used. My favorite part: you can interrupt. Got a question halfway through? Ask it. The hosts answer and pick the story back up. They also remember what you've listened to before. There's also your own Atlas, a map of everywhere your episodes have taken you, and a Community page of what others have made. Everything you make is saved to your library to replay any time, and you can share an episode with a link or publish it to the Community. Currently available in 6 languages. Any feedback is appreciated - you can try it here on historai.ca submitted by /u/Goldenchild123 [link] [comments]
