I got tired of filling out the same job applications, so I built a Chrome extension to do it for me

Original Summary
I'm a software engineer with 8+ years of experience, and I've been actively looking for jobs recently. One thing that really frustrated me was how repetitive the application process is. You upload your resume, and then the company asks you to manually enter your experience, education, skills, LinkedIn, and everything else that's already in your resume. Do this 20 times and you've wasted hours just filling out forms. So I built AutoApply , a Chrome extension to make this process easier. Here's how it works: Create your profile once with your experience, skills, education, and other details. Open a job application on a company's website. AutoApply helps automatically fill out the form using your saved information. For custom questions, AI can help generate answers based on your profile. Review everything before submitting. I'm not trying to build another platform that blindly applies to hundreds of jobs. I just want to remove the repetitive parts so people can spend more time finding the right opportunities. I built it using React, TypeScript, Supabase, and AI. It's available as a Chrome extension: Chrome Web Store: AutoApply I'm still improving it and would genuinely appreciate feedback from people who are currently job hunting. Would you use something like this? What's the most annoying part of online job applications for you? submitted by /u/Past-Bat-5034 [link] [comments]
