Original Summary
I lift, and every app I tried was a logbook: it records what you did and leaves the planning to you. So I built Rebar. It counts every set you log against 13 muscles, indirect work included (a bench set is a full set of chest plus half a set each of triceps and front delts), over a rolling two weeks. Each muscle has a target range, and today's session is built from whatever is behind. Log your sets and it moves the weights up, holds them or resets them, picks the next day of your split, and flags imbalances. Tap the ✦ on a changed weight or set count and it tells you why. It also won't celebrate +1 rep. It compares each set with the same set last time, so it can't tell you "up 2%" on a day you were down on every working set. How it's built: a PWA on Cloudflare Pages + D1, with sign-in by emailed link (no passwords). Every logged set freezes its own muscle-attribution snapshot, so fixing a coefficient later can never quietly rewrite old trend lines. No ads, no ad trackers, no third-party analytics, and no AI decides your training; that part is plain code. (One optional AI summary on Home rewords notes the app already wrote, and one switch turns it off.) It's free, and everything that exists today stays free, permanently, for anyone who signs up now. It runs in your phone's browser; add it to your home screen: https://rebar.fit What would make you bounce in the first thirty seconds? submitted by /u/miamiuoh [link] [comments]
