Original Summary
Hey everyone, Like many of you, I’ve tried dozens of habit trackers over the years. But almost all of them fall into the same traps: They lock basic features behind aggressive monthly subscriptions. They're slow, bloated with social feeds, and take 10 seconds just to check off a glass of water. If you lose internet connection for a second, the app freezes or refuses to log your progress. I just wanted something clean, instant, and focused. So I built Cadence—a minimalist, offline-first Progressive Web App (PWA) designed around frictionless daily execution. ### What makes it different? * Offline-First by Design: Built using IndexedDB for instant local persistence with background Supabase cloud sync. It works completely offline, and when you reconnect, everything reconciles seamlessly across devices. * Minimalist & Zero Clutter: No ads, no fluff, no infinite onboarding forms. Just clean dashboards, streak tracking, and quick counters. * Beyond Just Daily Habits: - Habits & Routines: For recurring daily/weekly anchors. - Goals: For measurable milestones (with flexible manual overrides for overachievers). - Quit Tracker: A dedicated module for breaking bad habits with live sober timers and moderation logging. * Desktop & Mobile Optimized: Full keyboard shortcut navigation (Command palette, quick jump keys) on desktop, and installable as a standalone PWA on mobile with native-feeling gestures. ### Try it out: Live App: https://cadencepwa.vercel.app/ It is completely free to use. I’m an independent builder trying to refine the UX to make it as smooth as possible. I’d love your brutal honesty and feedback: - What feels clunky or unnecessary? - What’s one missing feature that would make this your daily driver? Thanks for checking it out! submitted by /u/Mohamed_Shalash [link] [comments]
