Original Summary
I ship Android apps on Google Play as Hartmann Studios. I wrote five short ebooks about getting an app from a blank project to the store and keeping it there, one per stage. They are plain, practical and current for October 2026 (targetSdk 36, AGP 9, Play Billing 9.1.0, the 16 KB page size rule). Each book is about 60 pages with diagrams, a checklist and a cheat sheet. PDF and EPUB. $19 each, and every book has a free sample that is one full chapter plus the table of contents. What each one covers: Ship Your First Android App. Empty Android Studio project to a live Play listing: Kotlin and Compose basics, signing and the upload key, building an AAB, the Play Console account, testing tracks, the 12-tester closed test that new personal accounts must pass, and the first production release. Compose Without the Confusion. The Kotlin you actually need, composables and modifiers, layouts, state and recomposition, Material 3 theming, Navigation 3, ViewModel with StateFlow and one-way data flow, Room and DataStore, previews and UI tests. Pass Google Play Review. Target API 36 and the August 31, 2026 deadline, 16 KB page size checks for native libraries, sensitive permissions and the merged manifest, the Data safety form, account deletion, honest listings, staged rollouts, vitals thresholds, and releasing from GitHub Actions. Get Paid for Your Android App. Picking a business model, AdMob with the Next-Gen SDK, consent with the UMP SDK before the first ad, Play Billing one-time purchases and subscriptions, server verification and RTDN, and store listings that describe what the app really does. On-Device AI for Android. ML Kit, Gemini Nano, LiteRT and a local LLM in Kotlin, shipping models politely, and an Android client that streams from your own Ollama server over LAN or Tailscale. Who it is for: someone who can write some Kotlin and wants to ship, or who has an app up and keeps getting tripped by Play's rules. Not for total programming beginners. Everything in the books is checked against the official docs as of this month and against my own apps. No invented numbers, no earnings claims. Store link (books and free samples) is in the first comment. Happy to answer questions about any of the topics here. submitted by /u/Objective-Art-3268 [link] [comments]
