Hi all. I made GleamRoll. I know what you are thinking. Another gallery cleaning app. Fair. The store is full of them. I tried a few of the big ones first. Most wanted a weekly sub. Some ran ads. A few wanted my photos on their servers. All I wanted was a free, calm one for my own phone. So I built one. It took me about 6 weeks of evenings, way longer than I planned. It is on the store now and it is the one I use myself. If it sounds useful to you, give it a go. The main thing I did a bit differently: I do not think anyone really cleans a whole roll in one day. I know I do not. I would get bored around photo 300 and drop it for a year. So I made the app work more like a small habit: You do one short sitting a day, sized to a goal you pick. Then you are done for the day. Photos from the same moment show up together, so you look at them as a set instead of one random shot at a time. You swipe to keep, to set aside for deletion, or to decide later. A swipe deletes nothing. The set aside ones just wait in a list, and you can take any of them back. When you are ready, you look at that list once more and confirm in Photos. Even then, Recently Deleted keeps them for 30 days. There is a history page so you can see you are actually getting somewhere. Side effect I did not plan: it is also a nice way to run into old photos again. I like that part more than I expected. It works on your normal Photos library, so when you delete something, it frees space on your phone and in iCloud Photos both. Some basics, since people ask: It is free. No ads, no sub, nothing locked. There is a tip jar in Settings that unlocks nothing. You can ignore it forever. It is all local. No account, and your photos never leave your phone. No ad or tracking SDKs. There is one optional switch that shares plain usage counts with me. It is off unless you turn it on, and it never includes photos or anything about them. iPhone only, and you need iOS 26. The look and the flow are just how I think this should work. I might be wrong.
