I built Holdshot because I kept forgetting the four-key Mac screenshot shortcut. Hold the left mouse button, wait for the ring, drag over what you want, and release. The image is immediately copied to your clipboard. That's the whole app. It is a free personal beta for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later. It is signed and notarized, captures stay on your Mac, and saving files to a folder is optional and off by default. I have tested it on a trackpad, two-monitor setups, websites, images, folders, and common Mac apps.
