Original Summary
I'm tired of spending hours applying for jobs just to get ghosted by companies I'll probably never hear from again. Customize resume. Fill out the same application form for the 47th time. Click submit. Get absolutely nothing back. Repeat until your confidence reaches zero. At some point, I started wondering: What if the problem isn't how many jobs I'm applying to, but how poorly I'm choosing them? So, being the perfectly normal person I am, I spent 2 months building a tool instead of simply continuing to apply for jobs. It's called JobPrime : https://jobprime.vercel.app/ The idea is simple Instead of throwing your resume at every vaguely relevant job listing, it tries to find positions where your actual background is a strong match. Upload your background. Scan live job listings across 15+ countries. Get ranked matches with direct employer application links. Spend less time applying to jobs that don't fit your profile. The part I'm still trying to figure out: Can an AI scoring system genuinely help people find better jobs, or am I just building a more sophisticated way to get rejected? I'm using it myself. After four weeks, I got three interview call. Previously, I'd had zero. That's an encouraging result, but obviously not enough data to prove the tool works. I'm looking for people who will actually try to break it. Are the recommended jobs genuinely relevant to your experience? Does the match score make sense, or is it just a number pretending to be intelligent? Would you trust a tool like this to decide which jobs deserve your time? What's the first thing you'd change? It's currently free to test. The stack is React, Vite, and Node/Express. One limitation: I've had to restrict some premium functionality because people abusing the AI features were burning through my token budget. I also built a Telegram bot that sends fresh matches at 9 AM. I haven't released it publicly yet because I want to think through privacy and security first. Here's the link again: https://jobprime.vercel.app/ I'd genuinely rather hear that the matching is terrible than get a bunch of polite compliments. Tear it apart. submitted by /u/asking_porn [link] [comments]
