Original Summary
Put the landing page of my side project online about 12 days ago (marketing tool for indie game devs on Steam). Nothing open yet, just a waitlist. And I already got two emails. One from a Steam analytics site that wants to cross-promote. Our audiences overlap, they say. It reads a bit like a template, but it's a real site in my niche. One from a product directory with huge numbers, millions of visits, "AI assistants scanned tools here 32M times". Free listing goes in a queue, paid tiers from $39 to $229. The second email says it's the final one lol. Honestly I have no idea how to sort this stuff. Is cross-promo with a bigger site in your niche worth it this early? Did a directory ever bring you actual users, or just a backlink? And what do you ask before saying yes to a "partnership"? Curious how you all handle it? Is that even worth to answer ? submitted by /u/Dream_Ep [link] [comments]
