Original Summary

Hey everyone! I'm a product designer, and I've been working on something that started as a workaround for my own AI image workflow. Every time I started a new image chat for the same brand, I ended up uploading the same product photos, explaining the same person, and describing the same setting all over again. I tried keeping reference sheets, but eventually I was spending more time managing them than actually making images. So I built Scenri, an open-source photo workspace that runs locally on your computer. No Docker, no complicated setup, no telemetry, no account to create. The idea is pretty simple. I can save products, people and places once, then reuse them in different shots. Each image keeps its references and history, so I can make changes without starting from scratch every time. One thing I really wanted was to use the AI subscription I'm already paying for. Scenri works with my existing paid ChatGPT subscription through Codex CLI, so I don't have to buy separate image credits. There are still usage limits, of course. Getting started is pretty straightforward too. If you have Node.js installed, just run npx scenri and it walks you through the setup. On Mac and Windows, you can also add a desktop icon, so after that it's just one click to open it again. The video shows me putting together a perfume shot using saved references, then changing the lighting without rebuilding everything. I know LoRAs are an option for consistency, but that's not really what I'm trying to replace here. Scenri doesn't train anything. It reuses saved reference images with each generation and keeps the whole workflow organized, from products and people to scenes and shot history. It's really just the workflow I wish I had when I first started working with AI images. I'm curious how others are dealing with this. Are you keeping reference folders, reusing old chats, training LoRAs, or just starting fresh every time?
