Original Summary
I built this. CallMeMCP lets an AI coding agent phone you when it needs a decision. The agent rings your iPhone, reads its question aloud, you answer by voice, and the agent gets your answer back as text. The problem I kept running into: I start a long agent run, walk away from the desk, and it stalls on a question for an hour. Notifications on the laptop do not help when the laptop is in another room. A phone call does. How it works: An iPhone app gives you a 10-digit number. You add one MCP server URL to your agent (Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Copilot and Grok all work): https://callmemcp.com/mcp The agent has six tools: call, text, poll_result, wait_for_reply, set_thread_title and setup. It calls when it needs a spoken answer and texts when it only needs to tell you something. Missed calls fall back to a text, and your reply comes back to the agent in the same thread. You can try it without the app by pointing an agent at the demo number 5550001234, which answers automatically. It is a solo project. Each call result says whether the phone is ringing, in a call, missed or declined, so the agent knows when to wait and when to stop instead of retrying in a loop. The iPhone app is a paid subscription: weekly $4.99 with 3 days free for new accounts, or yearly $24.99. I am especially curious about quiet hours and how often is too often. submitted by /u/radressss [link] [comments]
