Original Summary

Hi everyone, indie dev here. A few weeks ago I shared my app that makes Google TV’s home screen recommendations open in the player you actually use. It’s now on Google Play , so you don’t have to sideload it anymore: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tunombre.tvbridge.play It doesn’t replace your launcher: your home screen looks exactly the same. What it does Clicking a recommendation, a “Continue watching” card or a voice search on Google TV opens that title directly in Nuvio, Stremio, Plex, Jellyfin, etc... instead of the default app. Voice search : say “Open Joker” to Google and it opens in your player. Its own Movies and Series rows with a genre filter, My list, history, calendar and “Surprise me” . A built-in IP-TV player . You bring your own M3U / Xtream list; no channels are included or sold . It has an EPG grid with a clock and now/next, favorites, program alerts, catch-up, Multiview (two channels at once), search by typing or voice, and Movies and Series for Xtream accounts. Sports events : it scans your guide and lists every sport your channels are showing, with team badges, live scores, goals and cards, an alert for what hasn’t started, and one click to full screen. The video shows everything (live pictures blurred). Price: free 2-day trial, no card needed, then €4.99 once. No subscription. Heads-up about the Play version: Google reviews every update, so the store version (1.6.2) is a few releases behind the APK on GitHub, and 1.7.0 is in review right now. The APK already has things the store doesn’t yet: the Sports events tab with live scores, goals and cards the audio track selector in full screen the clock and the time of the current/next program in IP-TV a smoother full-screen animation and team badges/flags the genre filter for Movies & Series and the redesigned Settings more reliable voice-search title reading They’ll reach Play as Google approves each update. If you want them today, download the latest APK here: https://github.com/Yushetf33/WatchBridge/releases/latest (same app, same licence). I’m still building it, so tell me: what would you want next? https://watchbridge.app/ submitted by /u/Major-Ad2852 [link] [comments]
