Original Summary

We just launched a sales workspace (prospecting, deep research, CRM) and shipped an MCP server on day one, so Claude Code, Claude Desktop or Codex can call the same lead discovery, research and CRM our app uses. Our reasoning: more of our users spend the whole day inside an AI agent. If a tool can't be reached from there, it becomes one more tab they forget to open. Making a SaaS safe for an agent to drive turned out to need its own design decisions: - Long jobs are async. Starting lead discovery or deep research returns an operation id, and the agent checks back for the result. - Cost guardrails. Only one run of each kind at a time, because an agent will happily start ten. - Anything pulled from the web is marked as untrusted, so text in a prospect's bio can't slip instructions to the agent. Questions for anyone who has shipped MCP: - Do your users actually use it, or is it still a checkbox on the pricing page? - How do you price agent usage compared with seats? submitted by /u/gerim_dealer [link] [comments]
