Original Summary
I maintain five GNOME Shell extensions. Every six months, when a new GNOME version approaches, I need to check all five repositories for upstream API changes, deprecated functionality, and compatibility issues. Doing essentially the same checks across five separate repositories gets repetitive pretty quickly. That's why I built CodeConvoy . It's a free, open-source, native desktop application that lets you send the same task to multiple local Git repositories using your existing AI coding agents. My typical workflow: Select my five GNOME Shell extension repositories. Write a task like: "Check for compatibility issues with the upcoming GNOME Shell version, identify deprecated APIs, and suggest or implement necessary changes." Choose Codex CLI (or another supported agent). Run the task across all five repositories concurrently. Review the individual results and Git diffs. Run validation commands such as npm run lint . CodeConvoy currently supports: Codex CLI GitHub Copilot CLI Claude Code OpenCode It's built with Rust/egui and runs natively on Linux, macOS, and Windows. Everything runs locally using your existing CLI installations and authentication. No cloud backend or additional API integration.
