Original Summary
I'm building YGOWB, a browser-based Yu-Gi-Oh fan project. The idea is to give a group its own playable card environment: a shared card pool, decks, banlist and community settings. The interesting part of the build is connecting the card editor to the duel engine. Effects are represented as structured blocks, so the engine can resolve the supported effects automatically. World owners can choose open publishing or curate the cards that enter their pool. The ruleset focuses on the classic 2005 era. The current app has Card Studio, a deck builder, practice against the computer, online duels, spectating and rankings. It's live at https://ygowb.com and requires an account. Eight screenshots of the current app: https://www.reddit.com/r/cardgames/comments/1wfh3h7/i_built_ygowb_custom_yugioh_cards_you_can/ For other builders, I'd love feedback on the first-use flow. Would you introduce Worlds before card creation, or let people see the card editor first? I'm the creator. This is an unofficial fan project with optional AI assistance for card artwork and effects; some custom artwork shown is AI-generated. submitted by /u/LielZD [link] [comments]
