Original Summary

I have 2 kids, and 2 mostly empty baby books with no photos stuck in them. Maybe its a me problem but i think a lot of parents struggle to find the time to get a physical baby book out, find a pen, then write in it. And if you want to put photos in you need to physically go print them out somewhere 🤮 gross. So i decided to build an app for it. The idea is it is not social media, it's purely for a parent's own memories, so it is low pressure and theres no need to make it perfect. Optionally get a weekly or monthly nudge to upload some photos, write a few words about your week, or record a first word or smile. Then at the end of the first year, use the book editor to turn it into a book and get a physical copy delivered. https://mybabytales.com It's set up more as a gift you can give new parents, you buy a voucher that includes app access and a delivered book. Feel free to download the app in the app store if you want to explore it/give feedback. If you're looking for a gift for a parent to be, let me know if you'd consider it and why/why not? Or happy to answer any questions about the tech stack: Firebase, Cloudflare, Fourthwall, and my other (mostly complete) side project https://rendercontext.com for feature flags and experiments 😉 submitted by /u/Lopsided_Finger4153 [link] [comments]
