Original Summary
Hi r/SideProject , solo dev from France here. Fring is a web app to catalogue your clothes and actually wear them. You take a photo of a garment and a vision model fills in type, colour, material and season. From there it: - suggests outfits from your clothes for today's weather in your city (hard rules: no open shoes under 15 °C, a coat under 5 °C…) - plans a trip suitcase from the forecast at the destination - does a seasonal colour analysis from a selfie (the photo isn't kept) - tracks cost per wear and the pieces you never wear Everything is free, no item limit, French and English. The AI (Qwen3-VL for recognition, Leffa for try-on) runs on a Tesla P40 in my homelab rather than an external API, so photos never leave my server. There's a demo account with a real wardrobe if you want to look around without signing up: https://fring.sevan.zone/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=r-sideproject I'd love blunt feedback, especially on the first five minutes: what's confusing, what you'd expect that isn't there. submitted by /u/Rude_Marionberry_705 [link] [comments]
