Original Summary
I’ve been looking at ops in mid-size SaaS and the same thing keeps coming up. HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack… all connected, but the actual handoffs are messy. One manual fix isn’t a big deal. It’s the little checks, updates, ownership disputes, and edge cases that pile up fast. And when the person who built the automation leaves, it turns into a black box nobody wants to touch. What I keep hearing is that there are really two separate problems: one is sync: getting records to agree. the other is handoffs: deciding what should happen when systems disagree, or when a human needs to step in. That’s the part I’m interested in. I’m thinking about a tool where someone can type something like: “Route all enterprise leads from HubSpot to Salesforce and ping the AE in Slack” Then the system should: show the proposed changes first, ask for approval before doing anything sensitive, keep errors fully visible, and explain what failed, where it failed, and why. Basically: less black box, more control. Not trying to replace every connector. Just trying to make cross-tool workflows easier to trust. Curious what people are using today. Zapier, Make, n8n, custom code… or just manual fixes? Why this is safer This version sounds human without fake mistakes. It also fits community advice: keep it conversational, specific, and non-promotional. submitted by /u/balram001 [link] [comments]
