Original Summary
I’ve been building solo for the past few months, and like a lot of people here, AI completely changed how fast I can turn ideas into something real. A few months ago, I had an idea for a small product. Normally, I would have spent weeks thinking about whether I had the technical skills to build it. Instead, I started experimenting, using AI to help me code, debug, and iterate much faster. Getting something working was actually the easy part. The harder question was: 1 Who actually needs this? 2 Where do I find those people? 3 How do I explain the value without sounding like every other tool out there? I think this is the part people underestimate about building solo. AI makes creating things much easier, but finding the right market and getting the first few customers is still the hard part. I’ve been spending a lot more time on things that are less exciting than building: researching competitors, reading customer discussions, figuring out what language people actually use, testing different positioning, and planning content that might attract the right audience When I found a competitor research process that helped me understand a market better, I saved the structure: 1 What questions should I ask? 2 What information actually matters? 3 How do I turn research into content ideas? submitted by /u/jekbyjek [link] [comments]
