Original Summary

Hey folks, Doing some research on ops for mid-size SaaS (50–200 people) and wanted to sanity-check something. From what I’m seeing, almost every team is still manually copy-pasting data between HubSpot (marketing) and Salesforce (sales CRM) just to handle inbound enterprise leads. Most people set up Zapier or Make, and it works… until it doesn’t. The biggest complaint I keep hearing: It’s fine while the person who built the Zap is around. Once they leave, the whole thing becomes a black box. Debugging those logic loops is a nightmare, so nobody wants to touch it. On top of that, native AI tools like Salesforce Agentforce mostly live inside Salesforce. They don’t talk smoothly to external tools or stacks like HubSpot + Slack without serious custom work. Feels like there’s a gap for something simple: a tool where managers can type a plain English command to move data safely across these APIs, without building complex automation tables or maintaining a hundred Zaps. For those actually running HubSpot + Salesforce (+ Slack) in a 50–200 person SaaS: How are you dealing with this fragmentation today? Are you just constantly fixing Zaps, or did you end up writing custom code / using middleware? What broke most often, and what do you wish existed instead? Would really appreciate real-world feedback. Thanks. submitted by /u/balram001 [link] [comments]
