Original Summary

The idea is simple: syllabus PDF in, calendar file out. The build is turning out less simple, because professors write dates in every way imaginable. One of my syllabi parsed badly, and one date landed on the wrong day. I have a fix in place, but I'm not sure yet that it holds up on other formats. The biggest lesson so far is to test on real documents early, because the clean test file I made myself told me nothing. Next up is recurring events like office hours.
