StandBy Mode on iOS is cool but I definitely think there's room for improvement. The customization for widget placement only allows 2 widgets and the widgets aren't built for StandBy. I'm building an app for horizontally docked phones for desk setups/nightstands with max customization for different widgets, backgrounds, brightness, and more features.
