Original Summary
Ever had a mobile app fail a request and wished you could inspect it, change the response, and reproduce the problem without another round of backend changes? That’s the workflow I’m building Mobile API Studio for. It’s a local-first API debugger with a browser workspace where you can: Capture and inspect HTTP(S) traffic from your development app. Edit and replay requests to investigate failures. Mock responses and rewrite traffic to test different scenarios. Simulate slow connections, offline conditions, and request failures. Compare sessions to spot changes in payloads, timing, errors, and retries. The core debugging workflow runs locally. You don’t need an AI provider or a sharing service to use it. Start with an iOS Simulator or Android Emulator . It’s currently available to build from source; prebuilt installers aren’t available yet. Code and setup: Mobile API Studio on GitHub I’d love feedback from mobile developers and QA engineers—especially on the parts of network debugging that still take too much manual work. What’s one scenario you wish your current debugging tool made easier? submitted by /u/Then_Leg8802 [link] [comments]
