We’re making Football Transfer Insider, a single-player game about being a football transfer reporter. It’s still early, so plenty will change, but here’s the idea. A player misses training. His agent says he wants to leave. Your contact at the club says there have been talks. Is that enough to report a deal? Probably not. But another reporter is about to post, and checking one more source takes time. You start with a few contacts and work your way toward the bigger stories. Getting people to trust you matters. So does knowing when someone is feeding you their side of the story. Sometimes you’ll have enough to publish. Sometimes you’ll have three people telling you three different things and a headline you’re no longer sure about.
