Original Summary
I’m a co-founder of StoveOps, a SaaS for restaurant waitlists, reservations and guest messaging. We built it around a specific problem: a restaurant has people waiting for tables, staff checking a paper list, and guests repeatedly asking whether their table is ready. With our system, guests join the waitlist from their phone and receive updates through SMS, WhatsApp or email. Restaurants can also create a mini-site with their menu, waitlist and reservation links, and track which campaigns generate bookings or waitlist entries. One design choice was keeping reservations and the waitlist connected through the same guest record. If someone arrives with a reservation and needs to wait, the team shouldn’t have to register them again. The challenge I’m working through now is explaining that value in a first conversation with an owner. There are several features, but describing all of them makes the introduction longer. For founders selling software to local businesses: did you initially lead with the whole platform or one specific task it could improve?
