Original Summary
I just made ExamEngine open source. It's a small browser app that turns a JSON question pack into a practice exam or a study session. Try it: https://dagerottdev.github.io/ExamEngine/ Hit Load sample pack to try it without creating any files. What it supports: Exam mode or study mode with answer explanations and source references Single-answer and multiple-answer questions Weighted marks, negative marking, and exam/per-question timers Autosave and resume, local attempt history, and a wrong-answer notebook Topic scores and retests of wrong or skipped questions There's no sign-up. Progress stays in your browser on that device, so it doesn't sync between devices. The app is a self-contained HTML file, and the hosted demo is free on GitHub Pages. The MIT license covers both the app and the included MCQ generator skill . The skill helps an AI coding agent create and validate question packs from your reference material; the browser app itself doesn't call an AI service. Code + generator skill: https://github.com/DagerottDev/ExamEngine I'd love feedback on the learning flow, especially whether uploading JSON feels practical and what would make creating your own question packs easier. What subject would you use it for? submitted by /u/Then_Leg8802 [link] [comments]
