I’m a product manager who loves movies and side projects, so I built Cast Six with help from AI. It’s free and playable in a browser: six movies, six overlapping categories, three attempts to get the whole board right. The interesting product lesson so far: I added a timer as a challenge, but some early players found it stressful. The timer is now hidden by default, showing it is a saved browser preference, and speed no longer affects the score. Wrong matches still matter, and hints cost points. I’ve also been adjusting the movie selection toward recognizable films across different eras. The goal is a satisfying daily solve that doesn’t require encyclopedic film knowledge.
