I'm the maintainer of polluSensWeb, an MIT-licensed tool that reads and charts data from air quality sensors directly in a Chromium browser using the Web Serial API. There's no driver, backend, or account, and it works offline once loaded. I built it for teaching labs and quick IoT prototyping. v2.2 came out today. What's new in v2.2 Per-command baud rate. Each command in a multi-command sequence can now use its own baud rate. 39 supported sensors in default configuration , up from 36. What it does Sensors are described in JSON: serial settings, frame start/end bytes, length, checksum expression, and how to parse each signal. Adding a sensor is a config change, not a code change. inherits_from derives a new sensor from an existing one and overrides only what differs Multi-command sequences for sensors that need init and polling (SCD30, SEN6x, etc.) Webhooks with {{ts}} and {{field:...}} templating in headers and body Multiple simultaneous charts and full CSV export Custom sensor JSON can be loaded straight from the UI, no fork needed Limitations Web Serial only works in Chromium browsers (Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave), not Firefox or Safari. Checksum and value expressions in the JSON are run with JS eval() , so read any custom config before loading it. Some configs are written from datasheets and haven't been tested on hardware yet.
