Original Summary

In January I saw a clip of three kids in a courtyard playing a game with bottles: everyone sprints to the middle, grabs what they can, carries it back to their spot and tries to steal from the others. I turned it into a browser game in about 2 hours with Claude Code and posted it here. It was called Gleam, and it was rough, but people played it and the feedback was useful. A few days ago, I returned to finish it. Today it's called Kerblob, and v1 is live: https://kerblob.com How it plays 3 players, each with a home zone in a round arena 5 crystals spawn in the middle every round Carry them home, and steal from other players' zones First to 3 crystals wins the round, first to 3 rounds wins the match What's new since the first version A new arena: a full stadium with a crowd that reacts when someone scores Throwing: toss a crystal into your zone instead of walking it in Dash hits knock the crystal out of someone's hands Power-ups mid-round: shield, magnet and boost Practice mode against bots on easy, normal or hard Touch controls, so it plays properly on phones Music and sound effects, all generated in the browser Rewritten netcode: the server runs the game and your own movement is predicted locally, so it stays responsive even with some lag Private rooms (share a code with friends), the leaderboard and match history are still there. If the online queue is quiet, bots fill the empty spots so you're not stuck waiting. It runs in the browser, on desktop and mobile. No install and no account needed; linking Discord is optional if you want to keep your stats. Stack: Bun (server and WebSockets), Postgres, Redis, plain TypeScript on the client with no framework. I'd love feedback, especially on mobile controls and on whether anything feels unfair. If you tried the first version back in January, I'm curious whether it feels different. submitted by /u/en3sis [link] [comments]
