Hey all, sperandev here. I built Screen FX, a Stream Deck plugin that puts effects right on top of whatever's on your screen. Press a key and: - 🎉 Confetti: side cannons, burst, rain or fireworks, with custom palettes - 🔥 Stage pyrotechnics: flamethrowers, cold sparks, fire columns. Hold the key to keep it firing - 🛑 Full-screen sign: a "GAME OVER" (or any text) stamp with a voice announcer (arcade, demonic, movie trailer, robot, megaphone) - 💸 Money rain, ❤️ hearts, 🐾 flying critters, ⚡ flash, 💨 smoke - 📢 Pop-up ads with your own image, for sponsor shoutouts - ⏱️ On-screen timer: countdown, stopwatch or clock - 🎯 Clay shooting, a mini game you play with your mouse Every key keeps its own settings (style, colors, intensity, duration, volume). Why I built it this way: most overlay tools need OBS browser sources or an Electron app running in the background. This one is a single native Swift binary (~200 KB, Apple Silicon + Intel). The overlay is transparent and click-through, and it covers all your monitors. Sounds are synthesized on the fly, so there are no audio files and nothing else to install. Because it draws on your real screen, it shows up in anything: Zoom/Meet calls, classes, presentations, screen recordings, not just streams. macOS 12+ only for now.
