Original Summary

for most of my 7 years in saas marketing a landing page took weeks... copy went back n forth, someone would always ask "wait what are we actually saying here", and the weak stuff got fixed along the way now i build most pages with ai in an afternoon a few times i've been happy with one, sent it to someone, and the first thing they asked was "ok but what does the product do" the page looked great and still didn't tell them that. i didn't catch it coz it looked finished, so i stopped reading it properly the old process was slow n annoying but all that back n forth was basically the quality check... now the page exists before anyone has really looked at it, and it's hard to scrap something that already looks ready to go what i check now before anything goes out: read the headline to someone outside your industry , if they can't tell you what you do n who it's for, it's not done the "so what" pass , go line by line as the buyer and ask "so what"... cut whatever doesn't have an answer check it against your one message , if you swapped your logo for a competitor's would the page still work? then it's not saying anything about you walk the full flow , ad to page to signup to first screen... ai pages often look fine on their own n feel disconnected once you click through who's allowed to say "this isn't good yet" in your company? or when you're solo, how do you catch it submitted by /u/saas_brand_guy [link] [comments]
