Original Summary

we liked tango for the most part, recording and generating steps was solid, way faster than someone typing out a doc from scratch. hit the wall everyone hits eventually, free plan caps at 15 workflows and pro is like $23 a seat, so for 6 of us thats over $130 a month just to keep documenting stuff nobody outside the company ever sees. we do support and onboarding for a small saas product, so the guides are stuff like how to handle a refund request or what to do when a new client gets set up. not glamorous but people actually need them day to day, its not just a nice to have now every new guide means deleting an old one to stay under the limit, which sucks bc theres no real way to tell in advance which ones you wont need again. lost one last month covering a refund edge case, ended up needing it again two days later when the exact same situation came up with a different client. had to rebuild it from memory, which is obviously not the same as just having it saved. checked what upgrading would even cost and it's clearly priced for teams shipping docs to customers, not six people trying to keep their own internal stuff straight. submitted by /u/Buy-Seesawkeely-4174 [link] [comments]
