AI made building easy. The apps work. But users still bounce, and it's rarely the code. Here's what I keep seeing: 1. It looks like every other AI app: Purple gradients, rounded cards, "✨ Supercharge your workflow." Generic reads as untrustworthy. Fix: Pick a font and palette on purpose, and make the AI stick to them. 2. No visual hierarchy: Five equally loud buttons on one screen. Fix: One primary action per screen. Everything else steps back. 3. Inconsistent spacing and sizing: Every prompt produces slightly different padding, fonts and buttons. Fix: Define a few tokens (spacing, text sizes, one button style) and reuse them in every prompt. 4. The landing page explains features, not value: "AI-powered task platform" says nothing. Fix: Lead with the outcome: "Stop losing client requests in Slack." 5. Onboarding asks before it gives: Signup, profile, integrations, and then value. Most people leave by step two. Fix: Get people to the "aha" moment first. Ask for details later. 6. Only the happy path is designed: No empty states, loading states or real error messages. Fix: Check every screen with no data, slow data and broken data. 7. No real user has tried it: You know the product too well to see its problems. Fix: Watch 3 people use it without helping them. Note where they hesitate. AI removed the friction of building. It didn't remove the need for design decisions. Which of these have you hit?
