Original Summary

I spent the last year launching tiny side projects. Every single time I try to get early eyeballs, I end up paying fifty bucks to get buried on a generic directory grid within six hours. It is pretty demoralizing to watch your hard work slip off the front page into a void. I got so annoyed with the standard list formats that I spent my weekend coding something stupidly different. I took high-res NASA photography of the lunar surface and built a giant interactive map where you can plant a flag for what you are shipping. It is called Moonstake. You can claim vacant pins starting at a dollar, track your visitor clicks directly on the map, or make offers on other spots if you want to buy out your competitors. It is basically a giant, directory board on the moon. I am trying to plan my shipping queue for the week ahead and wanted to get some honest feedback. Does this kind of visual, digital real estate marketing actually sound fun to use, or should I stick to building standard SaaS tools? moonstake.org submitted by /u/KeyProject2897 [link] [comments]
