Original Summary
Some context: I work in marketing and I've watched the same thing happen for years - a creator posts something genuinely good, the algorithm decides 200 people see it, and it dies. Reach is decided by a system nobody can see into. So I'm building the opposite: a public, paid leaderboard for short videos. Your reel takes a rank in the open. Everyone can see where it stands and what beat it. If it climbs, it climbs because people chose it. I'm the founder, it's pre-launch, and I'm posting because I want the holes poked before I go further, not after. The two things I'm genuinely unsure about: Does a public rank motivate creators, or does it sting too much when you land at #40? Would you ever pay a small entry fee to compete, or does paying to be ranked feel wrong? If you make short videos, I'd honestly love to know whether you'd post yours on something like this. submitted by /u/Royal_Complaint_743 [link] [comments]
