Spent the last couple months on this on evenings/weekends: Curio, a general-knowledge quiz where questions are auto-generated from French Wikipedia articles instead of being written by hand. The part I cared most about: not surfacing obscure articles nobody would know. Each article gets filtered by its actual Wikipedia pageview count before it can become a question. 8 categories, 3 question formats (guess the article from an excerpt, from an image, or guess a year), 4 difficulty levels, global + national leaderboards.
