Hey everyone, ​I was trying to find a local Android music player on GitHub with that clean Apple Music inspired look, the blurred artworks and floating lyrics. ​Almost everything I came across was either outdated, bad looking, desktop only, or just wasn't a true offline mobile player. I eventually found Airmedy by misa198 on github, which looked really good but it was built around playing files local to a PC through a built in sync architecture to the desktop app and only existed as uncompiled code you had to manually build yourself. ​So over the past week, I fixed up the codebase, ripped out the desktop sync setup completely, and rebuilt it into a fully local, install-ready app called Tune. Its: ​100% Offline: Built in storage scanner, embedded metadata support, and zero internet connection required(only required for the built in lyrics finder you can toggle off in settings) ​Synced Lyrics: Smooth line-by-line lyrics reading from local .lrc files or embedded tags. ​Local Stats: Private in app dashboard for your top artists, play history, and listening habits. ​Apple inspired UI: Clean dark mode with adaptive, blurred album art backgrounds.
