I built CRAV ( https://crav.app/ ), a photo first way to quickly decide where to eat with groups ! What : It is a free, no account needed, tool for groups deciding where to eat. Everyone picks dishes from nearby restaurants that look good, it then finds the overlap, and recommends where to go. Use cases : We just finished our workout/sports, where should my group of friends eat? My coworkers want to grab lunch, but all of us are "fine with whatever". We just landed at our vacation destination, what looks good around here? We’re traveling somewhere where we don’t know the local dishes or even what to search for. Our conference/event/concert just ended and we're hungry, what's still open that will satiate us And many more! Why : I built it because my parents don’t speak much English, and as they’ve gotten older, choosing from menus has only gotten harder. We often take a long time to decide and just end up at the same few restaurants. However, looking at photos is much easier for them because they don’t need to know what a dish is called, just that it looks good. We’ve been using it regularly, and I’d love to see whether this community would find it useful too. If you try it, I’d really appreciate honest feedback especially whether picking dishes actually makes deciding easier for your group and whether the recommendations feel right!
