My phone kept saying "storage full". Every time I opened Photos to clean up, I'd select 20 pictures, get bored, and quit. So I built PicPop: swipe left to delete, swipe right to keep. What it does: - Finds similar shots, blurry photos, screenshots and big videos for you - Delete one photo and it shows the look-alikes, so you can clear a whole burst at once - Turn Live Photos into stills to save space without deleting anything - Everything runs on the phone. No uploads, no account, no ads How it was built: Native SwiftUI, PhotoKit, and Apple's Vision framework for on-device similarity and blur detection. Claude wrote almost all of the code. My part was deciding what I wanted, testing on my phone, and saying "no, that feels wrong" a lot. First week, honestly: - 436 people opened the app - 123 started the 3-day free trial - 4 paid for a year straight away - Rejected by App Review twice: once for a crowded iPad layout, once for putting "iPhone" in my subtitle (Apple doesn't allow its product names there) About pricing: it's a subscription with a 3-day free trial.
