Original Summary
I'm building a SaaS product for local businesses where customers make small-value transactions through the platform. The problem is: Customer → Our SaaS → Business So the customer pays us, and we later transfer/settle the money to the business. This creates a problem because we're effectively paying payment/transaction-related charges when collecting the customer's money, and then potentially facing another cost when transferring/settling it to the business. I also don't want to break the automation by asking the customer to manually pay the business outside the app. For people who have built marketplace/local-business SaaS platforms: - How do you handle this? - Do you let the customer pay the business directly while keeping the transaction inside your SaaS workflow? - Do you use split payments/marketplace payment solutions? - What is the most cost-effective approach for small transactions (₹10–₹100)? - Are there any payment providers in India that handle this efficiently? Looking for practical experiences from people who have actually dealt with this problem. submitted by /u/shubhambhadale [link] [comments]
