Original Summary
I have spent the last four months working on a side project and I think it is finally ready to share. It is a chess trainer called ChessKinetics. I noticed that standard chess puzzle platforms often lead to cognitive fatigue and burnout because they constantly push you at the very edge of your abilities. To solve this, the system focuses on fatigue management. It groups puzzles into difficulty waves and enforces active recovery phases (giving you much easier puzzles) based on your performance to help you recharge. For the developers, the project is built entirely in Scala 3. The frontend uses Tyrian (Scala.js) following the Elm/MVU architecture, and the backend is powered by the Typelevel stack (http4s, Skunk). If there are any chess players here, I would appreciate any feedback you might have on this approach to training. You can see exactly how the wave system works without creating an account by checking out the walkthrough page . Thanks for reading! submitted by /u/mrdimosthenis [link] [comments]
