Original Summary

I’ve been designing these weird little collectible bears for a while, and at some point I realized I didn’t just want them to be images. I wanted people to actually do something with them. I built this app called Bear Drop. It’s a free browser game where you collect my original bears, trade them, build a Dream Team, vote in battles, complete challenges, and chase limited drops. I kind of see lots more possibilities now that I have it live and thinking about collaboration bears and sponsored bears, etc. I like the idea of doing non-profit edition bears that can be shared to raise money for good causes, etc. The bears are all my own original designs, and I’ve been having way too much fun building out the factions, names, outfits, rarities, personalities, etc. Some are polished and glamorous, some are chaotic, some are basically little menaces. I also wanted to keep it simple so its completely free, no ads, no nft, none of that shit. The site is live at https://beardrop.app I’m mostly looking for honest feedback from people who like side projects and weird internet experiments. If you try it, I’d love to know: did the collecting part make sense right away? did you actually care which bear you pulled? what felt confusing? what would make you come back? I’m still building out future drops, battles, challenges, and some creator collaborations, so this is very much a “put it in front of real people and see what breaks” stage.
