Original Summary
I'm creating a platform where humans or I guess at some point their AI powered agents can use to roleplay together. I presume humans will introduce AI into this because there's almost no way for me to stop it; if a user looks and behaves correctly they will not flag any automated soft alerts. That being said, I'm almost to 300 members and I've identified some places where the users are being tangled up or drop off the site. I want to try and figure out how I can really dig into the end user experience so I can understand where a user might want improvements. I sometimes wonder if there are too many features for launch. Right now we have: Create a character Use that character in a collaboration room with others who you invite or as part of a public 'scene'. Unlimited one-on-one RP rooms. The limits in place are on sends; though the limits are generous and in place to prevent inflation of cost factors beyond the scope we can handle as a small team. Robust discovery system for Characters, Public Rooms, Public Projects, and Worlds. World Studio - Map out the lore for a world and use that in Roleplay Rooms or your Book Studio to mark lore data for the reader to hover and learn more about it. Book Studio - Publish books publicly or privately through the builder which has many tools any author would appreciate baked right into the UI UX. Friends, Connections, Blocking, Reporting - A permission matrix that is easy for the end users to take control of; allowing admins to focus on reported content instead of user reports which would be settled with the block and ignore features. Feedback system - part of the reports UI, it captures simple data from the end user (presented in the form to the user) and helps developers understand what the user is referring to with minimal effort from the end user. Messages - Vastly more simple than the RP rooms, messages help users collaborate before commitments like opening RP rooms. Realtime alerts - Alerts for replies, invites, and more all funnel through the notification center. This includes desktop notifications. Factions - These are an optional additions to Projects. These allow users to create clan-like guilds within Projects. Projects - Groups of writers who want to exist within a specified World Lore can create a project to organize their characters. A boat load of admin-side tools. With a focus on respecting privacy but still giving me useful metrics that I can hopefully build some understanding through. Tour & Help dashboard - It shows users around and navigates them to the pages they would likely be wanting. After doing this I saw an increase in users creating characters since the tour ends on the Creation page. So, if anyone has time and wants to look around and tell me what I might be able to do in order to see this project out, I'd appreciate that.
